Who We Are
The African American doctors who lived and worked in the East Bay had already organized a medical association ten years earlier and named the organization the Sinkler Miller Medical Association and this is how we became the Auxiliary to the Sinkler Miller Medical Association. We are affiliate members of the Auxiliary to the National Medical Association and the Golden State Medical Association.
Scholarship Program
We are committed to serving communities of color by implementing health education and advocacy programs designed to improve healthcare standards. The ASMMA is a 501c3 organization that has been engaged in this quest for more than 25 years. The ASMMA is currently involved in its annual drive to raise money for scholarships to support students who face rising costs of tuition, books, housing, food, and other living expenses.
