Our Commitment

The healthcare disparities in our communities of color negatively impact our healthcare standards.

Our organization, the Auxiliary to the Sinkler Miller Medical Association (ASMMA), a local branch of the National Medical Association, provides scholarships for students who endeavor to enter the healthcare field as physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.

We are committed to serving communities of color by implementing health education and advocacy programs designed to improve healthcare standards. The ASMMA is a 501c3 organization that has been engaged in this quest for more than 25 years. The ASMMA is currently involved in its annual drive to raise money for scholarships to support students who face rising costs of tuition, books, housing, food, and other living expenses.
